Disappearing items. Several failed promises to investigate.

I ordered a Ryobi drill on special from Takealot. I'd specified collection instead of delivery, when I recieved the sms to collect I went to Walmer Collection centre in PE. When the QR code was scanned, it did not reflect on their system. They traced the package and advised it's still with fast and Furious couriers, and I'd be contacted when it arrives. Several days later, still no word, I emailed Takealot, and Sihle N rep**** and said they would investigate and get back to me. again several days later, no word. I sent a further email and that day the courier company delivered a package to me at work- but the drill was missing. The other items in the order were present. I then emailed Takealot again, this time Celeste rep**** saying she would look into it. A week went by and again no further replies. I emailed again, and this time Ayathanda rep**** saying she would investigate. Again no response. I emailed again yesterday , and this time Dawn rep**** saying she would look into it. It's over a month now, and everytime I mail, it's a new person who promises to 'investigate' and that's the last I hear. This is the second time this happens to me in 3 months after using Takealot for many years without issues. I think Takealots popularity has ironically led to this decline in service. I ordered an iPad last week and am now wondering if something that expensive will also vanish without a trace. And if it happened, what can I actually do ???
