Diluted Davidoff

I recently purchased Davidoff Aftershave from TakelAot, but after an hour of use the smell is gone. The product is definitely diluted. I returned the product but now I'm being told I cannot receive a refund or be credited as I used the product. How on earth can I confirm if the product is genuine if I did not use it. Common sense must apply but Takealot is using their terms and conditions to deprive me of my basic consumer rights. the right to buy quality product. I have gone through the reviews on thid product and I have discovered that there's a number of customers complaining about the product being diluted.
