Denied return

I bought a telescopic fishing rod that got delivered on the 19th Jan 2024, this fishing rod advertised that it came with a limited 6 month warranty. On the 28 Jan 2024 I had to unfortunately log a return for the fishing rod because the eyelet had come loose and the rod snapped in half - I had this fishing rod for 9 days. Once the broken fishing rod had arrived at the warehouse and they inspected it, they declined my return and said that they would be returning the fishing rod back to me. I phoned them the same day I got the notification that my return had been denied and got in touch with a lovely customer service lady who said to me that she will get in touch with the warehouse and see if they can fix my issue and get me a return - that was a week ago. Since then I have heard nothing from Takealot, I have tried emailing and I have called them 7 times and never got an answer. I would understand if I had this fishing rod for a year, it broke and I was trying to get a refund but I had the product for 9 days and am well within the warranty time.
