Delivery times and days are not accomodative for working people

I placed an order with Takealot on the 7th of February which was scheduled for delivery on 18 February 2025. On the 17th of February I called customer service to see if I can schedule a different time the agent said they do not deliver after 5 PM and the order cannot be moved to another branch where they actually deliver after 5 PM. The agent then suggested that he will launch a ticket with the responsible branch to see it we can reschedule or they can give me a call before they head out to deliver. The branch never rep**** to the email, on the 18th which is the day of delivery I receive another sms that my delivery is on the way and will be delivered before 17:00 PM . I received a call around 10:02 in the morning that the van is at the gate. I said I asked for 10 minutes which the driver communicated that they are not allowed to wait, which I understood .So here is my problem, I am only 15 minutes away from my home and if I received a call from the delivery guy I would be able to drive home and receive the delivery but I only received the call when the driver was at the gate. another issue is we all work Monday to Friday and they only deliver Monday to Friday, now my question is delivery is meant for people working from home only ? because most of the people have jobs and yet we make orders for delivery I even joined their delivery package because I order from them and collect but I see that it only works for people who work from home because anytime during the week if there is no one at home you won't be receiving your packages or deliveries from takealot.If you are trying to furnish your house by ordering through takealot delivery I would not recommend I was just starting and I hit a stumbling block with the delivery days and times. I believe its more convenient for small orders which can be easily collected.
