Delivery takes 2 weeks for no reason

I ordered a Meta Quest 3s on 24th Nov 2024 and got given a delivery date of 5th December, 2 days later I decided to call the supplier Game4u Gateway who confirmed that they have stock of the unit. Order number ***. Why do I have to go around doing this when you could have easier done this? Why do I have to wait 2 weeks to get my order when the store that is less the. 15 minutes away has stock? Please resolve this before I cancel the order and go directly to the supplier
