Delivery in 1 and a half months
Ordered and paid for a book *** ( and delivery charges) on the 3rd Decmeber but still havent recieved it. I called last week and the lady said it will arrive this week. I called the delivery team and they say they are not picking up my tracking number on their system and that i must call takealot. I have tried to call this week but the phone just goes onto hold and I am forced to listen to obnoxious music ( which i was told by the answering service to enjoy) for over 5 minutes at a time ( I am calling from a landline in Durban incurring hectic charges). Still no one answering. Finally today I get through and am told I will recieve the book in January but that they will have it from the supplier on the 8th of an so I can expect it around mid Jan.<br> <br> Takelot service is shocking their performance dismal. Dont be fooled into thinking that you will get the same service you did from kalahari before they merged with takealot because you wont...guaranteed ( if you check the complaints on hello peter in 2015 alone you will notice that around 1440 people have complained and not 1 compliment. I would be ashamed if I was takealot!!

As discussed the particular book which you have ordered is not stocked locally and is therefore imported from an international supplier. As indicated on the website the supplier requires 15 - 20 working days to ship this item to us. Once the stock arrives at our DC we will make arrangements for your delivery and on standard delivery you are given an estimated delivery date of 8 January. This is usually a worst case scenario and should stock arrive earlier, we might be able to deliver your parcel to you sooner. Considering the time of year we can however not guarantee this.
We understand your disappointment if you missed this detail and expected delivery sooner. As discussed with our team we will keep you posted on when the stock arrives and will contact you should we need to make alternative delivery arrangements.
