Delivery

I am very dissappointed in the takealot delivery team- Malmesbury branch to be specific. I was very excited to receive my package today as scheduled. I arrange for delivery at work, which is a hospital. I missed the drivers call and he left. I contacted Takealot and spoke to Aysha who assisted en e-mailed me very promptly. According to her feedback, the Malmesbury branch manager, who is 5 minutes away from me, just said sorry, the driver phoned and left. Protocol followed. Since when do we pay delivery fees to be called from the parkinglot or wherever he phoned from. I am at a public place, if the driver made the effort to come to our front gate, there is a phone and all our extentions for the specific building. If he was at the reception point, the front desk clerk would have directed him or called me. All the area manager said is sorry the client have to wait because the driver phoned and that is their protocol. Numerous packages get delivered at the hospital, at the offices. This driver was able to come to my office door, if he valued me as a client, but is was too easy to make a call and just said sorry Ma'am You did not answer. Takealot is unfortunately just as good as the delivery team they are using.
