Delivery Failure

Placed an order 11 days ago. Scheduled for delivery today. My son was so excited, he didn't even go to school, begged me to stay home and wait for it to come. His birthday present. He waited since 7am this morning at the door, telling me eventually at 12 that it isn't coming, but I showed him the message from takealot. Assured him, someone is on their way. Closer to 4pm, even I started getting worried. So I sneaked away, phoned Melissa who assured me after talking to the driver, he is coming, but has another 8 deliveries to do. I asked that when he arrives, he must please not just knock or give up, he must phone as well, we cannot miss this delivery. I was assured that she made a note on the file. I go outside and chat to my neighbour when lo and behold, I get a message saying the order is cancelled cause the recipient is not at home. Instead of giving away stuff for easter, how about delivering on promises to kids. I am disgusted once again in the service from takealot. Why am I even surprised. You made me out a **** to my son today. Will not ever have the pleasure of delivering another order to my house.
