Delivery driver

I am writing to formally report a driver employed by Takealot and Mr D regarding a reckless incident on January 10, 2026. The driver, named Patrick, was operating a motorcycle in Secunda, Mpumalanga. At approximately 16:30, he collected an order at Burger King Secunda and proceeded to drive erratically. He cut myself and other motorists off at a traffic light while I was turning right, forcing me to swerve to avoid a collision. When confronted regarding his dangerous driving, he dismissively claimed his brakes were not working. Alarmingly, he treated the incident as a joke and laughed at the risk he posed to others.

Furthermore, during this confrontation, I observed that he had removed his motorcycle's license plate and concealed it inside his basket. This behavior demonstrates a blatant disregard for the law. Given the recent warnings from authorities regarding reckless and negligent driving as a leading cause of fatal crashes in Mpumalanga, I find this conduct unacceptable. • It is deeply concerning that a representative of your companies would laugh in the face of other road users while knowingly endangering lives. I request that you investigate this matter immediately and take appropriate disciplinary action to ensure the safety of the public.
