Delivery date not as noted

I placed an order today for birthday gifts for my nephew, when I was checking out it said the items would arrive on 2 December which is fine because his birthday party is the 5th, so I accepted and proceeded to pay. Once I was done I got notification that the items would only arrive on the 9th of December. This is not acceptable as I would not have placed the order if I knew this was going to happen.
