Delivered wrong item- For Christmas gift (1 item ordered and it was wrong)

I ordered one thing from takealot as a Christmas gift for my daughter..and can you believe the wrong item got delivered? I am so disappointed with takealot during the festive season and now to explain to my daughter why I am sending her gift away does not make it easy..the wrong item got collected and I would expect them to at least send the correct item along with the wrong item seeing as I did request an exchange, I have no idea how long I’d have to wait for my daughters gift to arrive and now Christmas is over..the whole idea has just completely been ruined for my and I can never get this moment back. If it was 3 or 4 items and 1 was wrong I would’ve understood but this is 1 thing only I don’t understand how something so Simple happens, was my order not important enough to get it right? Very unhappy , Christmas was ruined :(
