Deliberately Avoiding To Provide Customer Invoices
Purchases New Samsung Ultra via Takealot site on 15/09/2020 and received a few days later[after delaying delivery by claiming payment not received]. During purchase it was not stated that invoice would not be provided or that any third party would be providing said invoice.
On 21/09/2020 had to go via site to "request Invoice", which was only linked via site later that day. But instead of link to download invoice, all i linked to was some note pad page which cannot be edited yet requests customers info for third party. Followed up same day to notify Takealot of fault and request invoice, claimed matter would handled but no feedback received from relevant call agent to date. Followed up again today 23/09/2020 with first agent Monica dropping my call while supposedly checking on matter. Second agent Sakhumzi kept repeating a procedure, whereby takealot has request invoice from the third party supplier who they got item from.
This issue should never have occurred as Takealot are the company selling item and receiving payment for said item. Takealot is therefore solely responsible and obligated to immediately provide relevant invoice when any item is provided or delivered to any customer.
Just spent thousands of rands for a company cell phone, yet not only does Takealot not provide invoice required for "any" purchase, but invoice must be requested and then only will a request be made to third party/Takealot supplier.
Takealot seem to be creating more inefficient procedures and systems to avoid direct customer interactions and delaying any required documentation. Matter will be escalated ombudsman/legally should Takelaot fail to provide my company with relevant invoice by morning 25/09/2020.
