Defective Stove and Warranty Refusal

I purchased a white 2‑plate stove from Takealot but they delivered a black one instead. On first use, the stove’s plastic covering burnt on the plate which is a clear defect. Despite the Consumer Protection Act’s 6‑month warranty, Takealot refused my return, giving shifting excuses (“user damage,” “opened and used,” “beyond 30 days”). Their agents even contradicted each other in emails.

This is unfair and misleading. I’ve escalated to the CGSO, but Takealot keeps trying to close the matter without honoring my rights. Consumers deserve better accountability.
