Defective Chair Failed in Under 6 Months – No Support from Takealot

I purchased an office chair from Takealot (Order #***) for R3899.

The chair became defective in under 6 months of normal use. The base and support structure failed, making it unsafe to use.

When I contacted Takealot, they refused to assist, stating that the return window had expired by a very short margin.(by one day)

This is extremely disappointing. A chair at this price point should last significantly longer than a few months. This clearly indicates a quality issue, not normal wear and tear.

It feels like customers are being sold low-quality products at inflated prices, with no meaningful after-sales support.

I am requesting that Takealot reconsider this case and provide a reasonable solution, such as repair or replacement.

Otherwise, I will have no choice but to escalate this matter further.
