DEFECTABLE CHARGING CABLE OVERHEATED AND MELTED THE CABLE EXPOSING THE WIRES

I bought a charger for my macbook in Feb 2021. It started overheating today and the cable melted EXPOSING THE WIRING. Luckily I was in the room at the time and smelt it and was able to unplug it before disaster. I tried to get the defective cable returned to Takealot but their policy is 6 months warranty. This could is not acceptable as it is a danger and because it is defective it overheated and melted the cable. Takealot should review the products sold for the safety of its consumers and should refund or replace the item.
