Declined return of product

Takealot service and quality of products are generally good and I will continue buying from them however I am not happy with the Mobicel tablet purchased that was returned due to product malfunction. They are not willing to credit me but Mobicel themselves need to assess the product. I don't think I should be penalized as this is something that should be sorted out between manufacturer and supplier. I would like to be credited so I can purchase an alternative product for my use.
