Dangers of using Takealots home delivery service

On the 12th December 2017, I received an intercom call saying that the goods ordered from Takealot were being delivered. I pressed access control and waited. Nobody came so I assumed that they were still at the gate on got in my vehicle to find them, As I got in my van, this dirty old Red Ford Siierra overtook me and sped round the corner, as I proceeded to the gate and drove around the corner the Red vehicle was stationary in the middle of the driveway, I stopped 2 m behind.After 5 seconds the red car without warning reversed directly into my van, after the collision the driver got out wearing a takealot tshirt. It turns out he is a subcontracted driver contracted by Mr delivery who are contracted by Takealot. The damages to my vehicle amounted to R2850. Despite attending the police station with the driver logging a case and him admitting liability neither Takealot nor Mr Delivery will accept any responsibility and of course the foreign national ,in a borrowed car driving with a paper international drivers licence hasn't got 2 Zimbabwian cents to his name. So people beware you may get more than you bargain for when you order and use Takealot home deliver service
