Damaged Item

I bought a Russel Hobb Sandwich toaster through Take alot , after a few uses it does not work properly . I opted to return the item . After 3 works I am told the there is nothing wrong with item .Take a lot refuses to supply me with the details of the supplier or a manager saying they under no obligation . I think purchasing through a store works better , then your guarantee / warranty applies , Surely you have faith in a product when you purchasing a Russel Hob and guaranteed if it don't work you can return it .I am very disappointed in Take a lot , having been a customer for many years .
