Damage to fridge carefully concealed with a sticker, terrible exchange process

Just purchased a new fridge from Takealot, great service, quick delivery, but damaged. The casing as been damaged through the packaging and the the packaging damage has been carefully covered with a 'Fragile' sticker to hide it.

Request exchange, now they want to collect to evaluate and then make a decision. How does one contemplate having no fridge for an indeterminate period due to their negligence. Unacceptable! Though using Takealot would buy some legitimacy to the process.
