Daily deals - not honored
Today (15 July) I went onto Takealot's daily deals and found something I wanted to purchase (Diaper Champ Nappy Bin for R595). I immediately added it to my cart and proceeded to checkout. The checkout took less than a minute and when I was about to make payment, the price had reverted to the original price of R1535. As far as I'm concerned by not providing the customer with a time period to checkout (like 15 minutes at least) they are not honoring the sale. This is a extremely poor business practice and one which should be reported to the CPA. Their response to me \daily deals are limited and only secured when the order is placed. Unfortunately this deal sold out very quickly."Not acceptable."""

We're sorry to hear you missed out on the Diaper Champ daily deal today and understand your disappointment as it was a great offer. Daily Deals availability isn't time but stock bound as mentioned on the deals page and T&Cs, and is sold on a first come first served basis. In order to secure the deal at the deals price the item needs to be checked out. Due to the nature of online shopping the opportunity exists that other customers are able to complete their purchase before you and the item then sells out.
