Daily Deals are not really deals.

While my experience with the counter staff at Takealot has always been positive, I cannot help but notice a decline in quality of delivery and pricing that's been taking place over the last few years. It's sad, and worth my time to write about here - simply because I used to be a fan of takealot. It used to be the place where it's always cheaper and easier to procure something, but as of late, that's changing. Stock that is "in stock" now takes forever to arrive, most of the time you will get a delayed delivery notification or "sorry we ran out" message.

If Takealot could answer one question - then it has to be: Why are you inflating prices to make daily deals seems like deals? I planned on buying a camera lens today when I noticed that it is marked as 30% off. Sadly, the pre-deal price is 5k (a third more) than even expensive places like Orms. By adding 5k to a 10k lens, and then applying a 30% discount - that is not a deal, it's simply a sale for the normal price. If you think people are not noticing this, you are mistaken.
