Credit owed not being refunded
I purchased a Silver Crest 8L Air Fryer appliance on March 11th and began using it on March 15th. Initially, I was pleasantly surprised—despite not knowing the brand, past reviews were mostly positive, so I decided to take a chance. It worked well until May 5th, when it suddenly stopped heating up. I promptly logged a return and requested a replacement, only to be informed on Friday, May 9th, that it was out of stock. My options were either a repair—potentially taking up to 21 working days—or a credit. I opted for the credit, expecting a swift resolution. However, as of today, May 14th, I am still waiting for the credit to be processed. Despite multiple emails, I have received no real answers regarding the delay—only vague assurances that the relevant department is "processing the credit" since May 9th. Meanwhile, I am left without an air fryer and no concrete timeline for when I will receive my credit, aside from a generic "thank you for your patience."
I purchased a product that failed prematurely, and now I am being passed from one department to another to receive my credit so that I can buy a replacement.
This level of service is completely unacceptable, and I would urge others to reconsider purchasing from this platform. They make promises they do not keep. I am continually following up since one can only email and deal with different agents and I am demanding for a refund. I am no longer interested in supporting Takealot, I would rather deal with Amazon.
