Cordless Vacuum Cleaner from Take a Lot

I bought a cordless vacuum cleaner ***-8-1183 from take a lot and it is the worst product ever (what a waste of money). The parts keep coming lose while trying to vacuum and the battery does not even last for 5 minutes to clean one room! The box it came in was damage and closed with sellotape.... My return was declined because it was used! How do they expect one to know if a product is good and working if you are not allowed to test it out??? So not only did they sell me a bad product but refusing to do a return credit because it was used??? Or because they knew the product has a lot of returns from customers as I can figure out from the reviews left on their platform???
