Recently made a purchase on the Takealot platform, and subsequently place a review on my product experience (as Takealot requested).

This is the verbatim product review:- " I was ****med The product received was completely misrepresented by the picture in on the platform. It's not even remotely similar from an aesthetic point of view. Product was also shorter than expected, resulting in a poor fit behind the laptop. Functionally, it has all the advertised ports and they do work, however, the advertised USB - 3 is actually USB - 2, the max charge throughput seems to peak at around 40watts... plugging in a high speed charger just results in a stepdown feed... slow charging. The ports also seem to be wired in series and not parallel, so trying to use this as a proper dock and use multiple displays does not work as it should. Screens are just duplicated, and multiple extended display is not possible. This is a glorified USB hub with some port changes. I was ****med. "

As result, Takealot came back with the following:- " Rejection Reasons

Thank you for informing us that this was not what you ordered. However, your review needs to be related to your product experience."

So in effect, my review was rejected and now consumers are only left to consider the well filtered positive reviews. This is clearly a case of supplier protection at the expense of consumers.

********* behavior from a most ********* company. The fact that they charged me for a product and then ****med me by delivering something inferior is not even considered by them.
