Commercial suicide!
Online shopping is a commercially suicidal exercise which allows the supplier to play havoc with the customer after receiving the payment! During the month of September 2020, I purchased a Mobicell "R" for my girlfriend who resides at Muldersdrift. Krugersdorp, Gauteng. At first the service provided by Takealot was awesome. quick and efficient delivery. This soon unfolded in a great deal of disappointment when the phone's battery proved to be faulty during the first few days after receipt. My girlfriend was desperate to have a phone after hers got ****** a few days before and her disappointment in receiving a faulty phone was insurmountable. I got hold of Takealot and they went back to the delivery address to collect the phone after I made it clear to them that my Girlfriend cannot be without a phone. In most cases a cell phone carries a 7 day over the counter exchange. Now if I had purchased the phone over the counter I would have received a new phone. Despite a second complaint and a second attempt from takealot to collect the phone I gave up in digust and vowed never to purchase another thing from takealot. a week ago I have advised my girlfriend to submit the phone for repairs to an Indian repair kiosk and it proved to be too expensive. I have purchased her another phone over the counter and now she is happy. I however have lost approximately R1200.00 for purchasing online. Way to go Takealot just as you name suggest "Take a lot and give nothing"
