Clients do not come first !

Been a major fan of takealot having made regular purchases over the last 5 months until i got unstuck with their return policy. Bought a laptop for my daughter some two months ago, and having moved house in between, never really had time to check out the laptop until now. Asked my IT guy at my office to check it out and was told this laptop , whilst it is very good laptop, wont serve my /her needs as windows cant be loaded and everything works on Icloud......too technical for us, we just wanted a normal laptop !
So, made contact with takealot to explain and the book get's thrown at us in terms of the 30 day return period having been exceeded. Whilst i can understand that , to prevent customers from using items and returning them months later, but would have thought they would consider their loyal clients (like me) and put us before their suppliers.
Really upset and disappointed they put their suppliers before their customers. Do i continue using takealot ? i dont think so.

Hello Walloon,

We understand your disappointment by not being able to return your laptop. As discussed with our returns team we'll still not be able to accept this request as it's more than a month past our 30 day returns policy. Our supplier won't accept the item under these conditions and we're not able to put the item back in stock as it's been opened and used.

In order to continue offer all our customers the option to return unwanted products we need to adhere to the conditions in our returns policy.

Sincerely,
takealot.com

Best regards,
