Cancelled order weeks later

Still lost for words...how can you cancel an order due to no stock 2 weeks after the order has been placed and less than a week to go before Christmas....what makes it even better is that the website is STILL offering promotions on the item.

Call centre was USELESS and gave ZERO apologies for the poor service.
