Can't keep track of a financial record

To be fair, Takelot started out this process in an excellent manner by facilitating a change to an order to increase an item quantity from 1 to 2. At this point it went pear-shaped. I was notified after delivery was on its way that 1 one of the items was cancelled. Then I was told that the amount paid was refunded to me and available in my takealot account. I confirmed that this was not the case, only to be then told that "IT SEEMS" that the money was refunded back to my credit card. I have been trying to obtain clarity around what this means as the payment has not been made to my credit card to date. Takealot is unable to tell me where the funds are. Nor are they prepared to accomodate my wishes for communication from a member of the company's management to supply to me IN WRITING reasons for the refund being untraceable, as well as the fact that the item delivered was not what was advertised on the website. My indication that I was reluctant to request a Return because I did not trust the refund process (based on my current experience) was completely ignored by the person I am dealing with (Adri). She also ignored the fact that i requested corresepondence from management in writing and instead informed me that I needed to supply a telephone number and time next week for someone to call me. The only reason I am writing this is because the deadline that I had indicated to Takelaot for a suitable response has been exceeded, which is completely unnecessary. It is such a pity as I used to enjoy shopping with Takelaot. I now do not fully trust them.
