By ignoring your client's product warranties you are also alienating them

Don't expect Takealot to honor warranties as they don't want to do that with me.

My light got water damage and Takelot are refusing to replace it. If an outdoor light is not waterproof it should say in big red letters so that customers don't mistake it for being weatherproof. Don't waste your money on this item as you will have the same problem that I have had when rain happens to arrive

I ordered a Bright Star Lighting - 20 Watt LED Die Cast Aluminium Flood Light on the 9th of June 2020 in January due to the rain the light got some water damage. This light has an IP rating of 65 which means that it is supposed to be waterproof.

When I tried to log the replacement Takealot refused to honor the warranty due to the water damage but the item is obviously faulty and needs to be replaced. When I complained about this on Friday Takealot rep**** telling me they refuse to replace the item as it had some water damage...no **** sherlock of course it has water damage why else would I want them to replace an IP65 outdoor light. I even spoke to the supplier who said they would happily replace it.

My question to Takealot is: Did you guys not query the product with the supplier and just give me the blanket excuse of customer damage?

Obviously, that is the case otherwise I would already have a new light.

Takealot are also trying to silence me by deleting my posts. So as soon as I see that Takealot has deleted my post I'm just gonna post it again.

So an update on Takealot's ****ty service: They have returned the faulty light to me and I have requested a replacement once again. I have informed them that the supplier will replace the item.....This should have happened from the start....Hopefully, they do honor their responsibilities and send the light to the suppliers.

Sadly this is Takeaolt we are talking about so anything is possible. Takealot if you want these complaints and re-posts to stop then you need to honor your warranties and stop messing angry clients around.
