Broken Router Being Sent Back To Me
I ordered a router from Takealot because the previous one got hit by lightning. I ordered a ASUS router from them. Upon opening the box i noted that there were no cables in the box but it seems to be a common thing so i just left it. I plugged the router in and proceeded to set up the software( im in IT so im not dumb regarding that) An error message occured stating the ADSL line was not plugged in. After much troubleshooting i realised that maybe the line is damaged.
I proceeded to telkom with the ASUS router in hand and it turns out the router does not pick up the ADSL. So we went an bought a TP link router. Got home set it all up and it works 100%. I noted to Takealot that the router was infact faulty. They came to pickup the router and off it went for evaluation. I get an email a few days later stating that *THE ROUTER IS AT THE WAREHOUSE FOR TESTING* on the same day i get told there were no cables in the box and the router is being sent back. That same day my mom gets the guy at my gate with the router EVEN THOUGH IT IS SUPPOSEDLY AT THE WAREHOUSE BEING TESTED. We declined the parcel as one of the two is a broken communication gap and i demand my refund as they still want to send me this broken router. Disappointing. I demand my refund.
