Broken airfryer after only 2 months

I received a air fryer as a present for my stepmom as I was expecting a baby and she wanted to make life easier for me. It was a lovely Kenwood airfryer which I used often, obviously because it’s easy. So one evening after I only had it 2 months the door clip broke off… I contacted takealot.. they fetched it and brought it back and refuse to help me.. they say I broke the clip off… The clip sits in the inside of the door. It is literally a clip that opens and closes the door.. they refuse to listen and the helpline lady whos name I would actually like to say was so awful to me that we ended up in a fight… she eventually promised me that a supervisor will phone me and it is now 2 weeks and nothing… I contacted Kenwood themselves and they are trying to help me now… This is unacceptable from takealot as the airfryer is only 2 months old and it was almost R2000 and it has a 24 month guarantee..
