BLAME ME FOR DAMAGED GOODS - I HAVE THE PHOTOS TO PROOF IT - WAS DAMAGED ON THEIR SIDE

Good day

I hope you are well.

I am writing to raise a concern regarding a Full Euro Leather 2-Seater Cinema Recliner Couch (Sofa) which I purchased from the Take a Lot platform on 20 October 2024 (Order No: Order #***. The item was delivered on 28 October 2024.

From the outset, I experienced an issue with the left footrest (as viewed from the back of the couch), which struggles to close properly. Shortly thereafter, the right footrest began to exhibit the same issue. In addition, the staples at the back of the couch are coming loose, which raises concerns about the overall build quality and durability of the item.

First return logged MRRN-38RD7-DPN9 – 16 Dec 2024 – small bakkie arrived – thus could not collect item 2nd Return logged 14/01/2025 – MRRN-MV9JW-84Z5 – again a small bakkie arrived – could not collect item – due to size 3rd Return logged 12/03/2025 – MRRN-K6QAD-GJYA – my son created on my behalf – we were out of town, he was busy with clients – I managed to get in touch with my son – but when he phoned TakeAlot collection team, they stated that they will not return – 10 minutes after I was contacted by TakeAlot – my son tried to call them – they never called him after I gave his contact information to the guys, all and all about maximum 15 minutes have lapsed since there initial contact. 4th return logged 18/03/2025 – scheduled for 19th MRRN-P56OE-E9NA – collected – wrapped – as per request by TakeAlot – my first complaint was that the footrests did not operate properly and the staples were starting to pull out at the back of the seats.

Upon this last collection there were no damage to the upholstery – NON AT ALL! Now I am getting an email Sibongile M – where it is clear that the loading of my item was not done with care, - the wrapping was damaged – I received close up photos – thus no one can see where the “damage” was – I have requested details – but no response. Sibongile said that he will send a short video – but no attachment to the email – I have again requested the email – THERE WAS NO OTHER DAMAGE – IT WAS WRAPPED – the photo clearly shows that damage must have been done in transit!

This item as originally delivered with a truck – they wasted time with a small bakkie! Then when a bigger truck arrived they wanted it wrapped, which was done!

This is really becoming ridiculous – TakeAlot is trying to buy time to get this items 6 months warranty lapse – but the initial problem was recorded was recorded not even 90 days after delivery! Given that the product is still under warranty and these issues have been present from early on, I would appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter.

Looking forward to your prompt assistance.

What is there for me to do?

I am being shunt from pilar to post with no concrete feedback!

I want my item REPLACED or FULLY REFUNDED!

AS YOU CAN SEE ON THE 1ST PHOT0 THIS WAS WRAPPED – AND THE DAMAGED WAS DEFNITELY CAUSED IN TRANSIT.
