Birthday present never arrived

<p>Last week Friday we ordered a Kindle for my son's birthday, despite the website saying it would be ready on 4th October. After wasting an hour of my time and petrol driving to the other end of Cape Town to collect it I was told there had been a delay and the product would now only be ready in 1 - 3 working days. Well it was his birthday on the 4th not 1 - 3 working days after the 4th. I escalated my displeasure twice. Both times someone was supposed to get back to me. No-one bothered ! Today I phone and get told the item has been in the warehouse since the 5th. So I am supposed to now drive again from one end of CT to the other to go and fetch it. And have I mentioned you need to have your ID scanned to get in the gate ?!! Who are these people and where do they get the authority to scan my ID document ?? I told them I was not driving out again and they could deliver. I was told this will be another couple of working days. *** !!! Takealot more like Conalot ! I have asked for a manager to phone me back but I wont hold my breath. </p>
