Beyond Frustrating
I ordered a table and 2 chairs on the 31st of December. It was only delivered on the 11th of January and the 2 chairs were missing. I emailed to complain and request the chairs be sent. I was told that I had to log a return, return the table and request a replacement for the table and 2 chairs. I did this. Instead of a replacement I was credited with the amount LESS the shipping I had paid. I complained again, reminding them I wanted a replacement and not a credit. I was told the item was out of stock, I checked, it wasn't, only the price had changed. After endless emails and calls, a new order was eventually created on the 4th of February and I was told to ignore all emails about outstanding payment as they would sort this out internally. As I kept getting the same messages I called again. The incorrect amount had been allocated. They eventually sorted this on the 8th of February and delivery was scheduled for the 11th. I was supposed to leave for KZN on the 11th, but delayed for a day to take delivery. Now I have been informed that my parcel is "lost in transit" and delivery needs to be rescheduled. I cannot delay my departure any longer, but Takealot won't let me change the address and allow my sister to collect it on my behalf. I have communicated with Aden K, Aziezah A, Ayesha P, Rameesha R, Kimberley D, Tamara M, Rhoda W, Faith N and Achumile D. There is no continuity, the only number published is a call centre. Some are working from home, so you can't speak to a manager, it is beyond frustrating.
