Beware Takealot Refund polcies when buying a gaming rig.

In short, I bought a gaming rig the Ryzen 5 2600 cpu bombed out - a friend tracked the supplier they confirmed it was still under warranty and they are willing to replace - here comes the kicked.

The person who build the pc left the country and he bought the parts for the pc in his wisdom from takealot.

So now the supplier requires takealot to confirm they can replace/refund - takealot refuse.

There is no risk to takealot, the supplier is even willing to do it outside of takealot but needs their approval to do the refund/replacement.

Management at takealot says no, it has to be the original buyer.

I understand this for normal items, but a pc which is build up of multiple parts that has 1 part fail is not the same thing as normal items.

So now i have a broken pc with no chance to get the part which is fully covered under warranty replaced.

So please think twice when buying a pc built with takealot parts - they will ***** you over and not action any warranties even though it costs them nothing.

Ridiculous.
