BEWARE OF THE ****MERS.
Takealot is by far the most disappointing company I have ever supported. I logged a return on the 9th of May as the iPhone I purchased from them started glitching. The item was picked up on the 9th but I forgot to include the charging cable therefore the return was officially completed on the 12th of May. I was not given ANY feedback on whether my R15000 item reached the supplier or the warehouse. I HAD TO CALL TAKELOT TO GET FEEDBACK ON MY RETURN AS IF I WORK FOR TAKEALOT. I was then told that the item was at the warehouse and was being shipped to the supplier on the 20th of May; keep in mind that my Takealot account had not been updated since the 12th of May and only when I called was it updated. I was also told that I will get an update every 2-3 days and the agent assisting me, Elizabeth Modiba, did not even bother to do her part.
Almost 3 weeks later and a total of 20 emails to *********** staff, I was told that there is nothing wrong with the item and it is to be sent back to me. Today I called again to find out when this return is going to take place because as you know, I work for Takealot. I was assisted by an agent who did in fact state that there was no feedback from the supplier; which means I was **** to in order for Takealot to give me the run around, and that even so, Takealot's policy states that I am entitled to a credit on my account if my item is not returned within 21 days of the return being logged. IN TOTAL IT HAS BEEN 29 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The agent who assisted me today told me that she will escalate to upper management but God alone knows what will happen hereafter.
