BEWARE of Takealot refund policy

I received a gas tea kettle from Takealot on 16 October 2024. The second time I used it on the 19th , the bottom cracked. Takealot is refusing to credit me, stating user error, negligence and abuse and to refer to their returns policy. I've emailed them many times to say that their description and picture clearly shows the kettle on gas which is what I was doing when it gave a clean crack. Buyers beware, Takealot is losing the plot big time. I am but a small drop in their big ocean and I have supported them since their Kalahari days but needless to say, I am done with this company who sells inferior products and refuse to take responsibility for it. If you read the myriad of negative reviews they've been receiving lately, they're very quickly becoming a ****my company.
