Beware e-book buyers, you are going to lose every e-book you ever bought on Takealot.com!

I have bought several books and e-books on Takealot.com since they started selling. I have never had a problem, except once, when I downloaded a book so many times, as I was unable to open it, that my token expired. I asked for help, and IT from Takealot.com needed some time, but in the end they fixed it.

I have received an email recently, that Takealot.com would not be selling e-books in future, and that I needed to download all bought books before June 2022. I immediately went to my library to retrieve the books I bought.

But as you can guess, all my tokens had expired. So I contacted Takealot.com and asked for help again. This time however, they refused to even try. They told me that there was a disclaimer policy that I should have read, and they they do not take responsibility for the fact that my tokens are used up, and they were sorry that I was going to lose all my books, but they really couldn't care.

It does feel as if they stole from me, as I did pay for the books, and now they are gone. Left in a library that is closing and doesn't want them, and doesn't want me to have them.
