Bathroom scale app cost

My wife bought a Body Fat Scale Smart Wireless Digital Bathroom Body Weight &BMI Scale from Takealot. Nothing wrong with the scale BUT the app to use the product properly for the intended purpose is coming with a hefty monthly fee, which was not mentioned in the description or adverti*****t and best of all the product can not be returned. Every time we try to review, it is blocked for one or the other reason. A lot of these scales are available with a zero monthly fee. Adverti*****ts especially if non refundable should clearly indicate the monthly app fee, this is very misleading and hidden cost
