Bad to no after sales service from take a lot. DO not buy from them, there is no back up!!

We bought a Printer from Take a lot Last year November 2020.

This printer was giving us trouble from the start. The printer`s motor packed up 5 months later. A log was filed on the 14th of May and the printer was collected the next day.

They then reported that we had forgotten the power cord. we asked them to collected the cord. A driver was sent several times according to their sms system but no one ever arrived. We then decided to deliver the power cord at a pick up point, where the manager of the point signed for the cable.

It has been more than 6 weeks now with no report of the printer. No one at take a lot is taking responsibility for the printer and they just keep on creating a new "Ticket"s.

Every time we phone them, they promise to get back to us, but no one ever does.

This "issue" is a internal problem from take a lot side, however it has become my/our problem. This is not fair at all. I have tried and done everything from my side to resolve the matter with no success.

After several phone calls and emails to take a lot, no one could assist or accommodate me. As a result our office does not have a printer and we have to outsource to postnet.

The matter has been lingering on for more than a Month now (45 Days). I understand that Take a lot policy is to do a refund if a matter is not resolved within 21 days.

But they also dont stand by their promise!! They just talk around it and pretend like it is not 21 days yet as they create a new ticket for the printer every 14 days.

We have not been refunded, we have been disregarded with very little to no follow-up. Our bill at Postnet has accumulated to a amount far above the value of the printer itself.

The service from this company has been scary. I dont think I can trust Takealot ever again. We have bought a lot in the past with very little issues or returns.

But this time we have seen that there is no one to contact if there is a problem and no one can resolve this.

The printer was a very expensive printer and this is too large of an amount to just ignore unfortunately.

Unless you are certain of the product you want to buy, do not buy from Takealot.

Also, NEVER buy a printer from Samsung. Stick to TV`s, fridges and phones only.
