Bad Service - Takealot.com

I ordered a TV set on Fri from takealot.com last week Friday. An incorrect TV was delivered the following day, Sat. Unfortunately I was not available when the delivery took place.

I contacted takealot via emails and phone and was promised that the issue will resolved speedily. Indeed a few minutes later I received a text message and an email confirming that the correct order will be delivered the same Sat. before 5pm. Needless to say I did not have the YV. However, they arranged to collect the incorrect TV order by Wed.

After several telephone calls and emails, I asked why my TV has still not been delivered , I was told about their warehouse processes and procedures and that my TV will only be delivered after 2 days once their warehouse had received the incorrect delivery. This morning I received a message from or of their agents Fundiswa telling me that the order has been closed because the TV has been delivered to me???

I asked why I should be subjected to their internal processes and procedures - I did not cause the mistake , surely they should not arrogantly subject me to that.

I called again today 7 days later, no manager is available to talk to me. They promised to call me later. I am sick at home, no TV, my grandson is visiting since We’d and has no TV entertainment.

By the way, I have paid nearly R15 000.00 for this TV. I also ran out of airtime with the many calls I have made. My blood pressure has gone up because of this incredibly frustrating issue.

I spoke to Nazley today who told me they are working from home and will have to get a manager to call me. She asked to put me hold after I gave her the order number. Cam back and told me there is no Tram Leader available right now and they will call me back. I had asked to speak to someone very senior hoping that perhaps they will be empathetic and do something.

Please be very careful with takealot. They are very uncaring. I wonder if online shopping will survive in South Africa . Think twice before buying from takealot....:
