Bad service

I purchase an electric shaver from take alot and the shaver does not work as expected. I logged a return and the item was collected. After following following up with them a few days later I was advised that the return was rejected due to there being hair on the item. The item is a beard shaver but does not take any hair off when it was tested - which is obviously necessary to ensure that the item is working. The item was returned to me and they then also only advised me of the return policy in this regard. I can understand this, but in my opinion the item payment should be paid back to my bank account because the item does not work. The money was not refunded. I know they do refund an item even if the item can not be returned for hygienic reason so am definitely not satisfied with the service I received.
