BAD MANAGEMENT OF DAILY DEALS

I have ordered a child's motorbike that was on TAKEALOT's daily deals on Sunday, the 2nd April 2017 for my Sister's baby shower on the 22nd April 2017.

First of all I ordered one on the app, which was on sale for R1,399 when the usual price is R2,999. So when I chose one, it showed that there were still 3 in stock for the DAILY DEALS DISCOUNT.

However, when I wanted to pay via Credit Card (which I usually do) it showed the R2,999 amount. I therefore took screen shots of everything, showing the time + Date, due to the fact that I tried calling takealot's call centre ( ********** ) which was closed. I was advised previously on an order that I had this problem with, that I must choose EFT + They will then get back to me with the correct details the following day. this was for an order of a baby bottle steamer in January 2017: ********** 12 Jan 2017 Avent - Steam Steriliser - Microwave
Delivered 18 Jan 2017 1 R 349.00.

I therefore went to the website, where I ordered one to see if this worked and I received the same error, so I also chose EFT.

I then got 2 emails from takealot, reference: ********** 6 + ********** 2

“Hi Melissa,

Thank you for ordering from takealot.com.

Once your payment has been approved we'll send you a payment confirmation email.

Don't forget your payment needs to clear before Friday, 07 April 2017 to secure your order. Your estimated delivery date can shift depending on when your payment reaches us.”

I paid via FNB, to Takealot ABSA which takes 2-3 days, which I was advised by Ricardo on takealot’s call centre. Therefore, it was cleared on the 6th April 2017!! Which means my stock would have been reserved!!

So I contacted the ********** email address + I called in the next morning and got through to Kelsey who stated that I must send through the screenshot of the night before + she will take this up with the product specialist at takealot. I was then advised by Kelsey Wentley quoted "Apr 3, 13:05 SAST Hi Melissa Thank you for contacting takealot.com Kindly send us the proof of payment so that we can honour the price and give it to you at the discounted price you asked for."

“-------- Original message --------
From: Melissa Eaglestone **********
Date: 2017/04/03 15:51 (GMT+02:00)
To: **********
Subject: Re: takealot.com Re: ORDER NO: ********** 2
Good day Kelsey,

Kindly see the attached proof of payment as per your email below.

Kindly confirm receipt of payment + That the order has ow been placed.

Kind Regards, Melissa“

“On Tuesday, April 4, 2017, TAKEALOT ********** wrote:

Hi Melissa Eaglestone

Good Morning

Thank you for your payment which has been allocated to this order. However your payment was short a R1600 as the order value is R2999.00

Please provide a proof of payment once the payment for R1600 has been made, so that we can trace & allocate the payment to the order.

Kind Regards
Finance Administration.“

Which means that the payments department received my payment on the 4th!!” After receiving this email from the payments department stating that I emailed ********** since I cannot email the payments department directly.

I was then advised by Unathi Iaacs: "Thank you for contacting takealot.com Please be advised, As per finance feedback. The Eft payment is only R1399 and the order value is R2999. So this means you are requirerd to make payment of R1600.00 for order number ********** 2 for your order to be authorised."

AT NO TIME WAS I ADVISED THAT THERE IS NO STOCK SINCE THE 2ND APRIL 2017??

Queen then advised me "Apr 5, 08:58 SAST Hi Melissa Thank you for your patience. Your order has been authorized for the amount that was on daily deals. Thank you Queen"

AGAIN, NOTHING STATING THERE IS NO STOCK??

I then called into your call centre and spoke to Ricardo Sagewis, where I explained that my order is duplicated + Asked him to advise the finance department that they must make sure that the payment made with ref: ********** 2 must be allocated to ********** 6. I then received the email below from Ricardo after talking to the finance department:

“Ricardo Sagewis (takealot.com)

Apr 4, 16:18 SAST

Hi Melissa,

Thanks for your email.

I have since cancelled duplicate order ********** 2.

We have reduced order ********** 6 to R1399.00.

Please note that payments other than Absa takes 2-3 working days to reflect.

Kind Regards,

Ricardo Sagewis”

After sending an email to Takealot to find out when my order will be delivered, I receive the below email from Tholakele Ngele 7 days later??

“Tholakele Ngele (takealot.com)

Apr 10, 16:39 SAST

Hi Melissa,

We are terribly sorry to let you know that we had to cancel the following items in your order : ********** 6

Fine Living 4 x 4 Motorbike - Red

Unfortunately we are unable to source the item you are looking for from that specific seller.

Your refund is reflecting on your profile as a credit. (Please advise if you would like us to transfer the credit back to your original method of payment)

Please accept our sincerest apologies if any inconvenience has been caused.

We appreciate your time, patience and continued support.

Kind regards,

Tholakele Ngele”

I have asked Takealot to send me another colour, blue bike which is still in stock on their website + I have screen shots of this, as this was also on sale 2 days ago on DAILY DEALS!! So why can they not honour their commitments and send me another colour bike at least?

Very upset Aunt to be
