bad communication/ no effort to resolve issue

I 'share' an account with my overseas fianc? - on occasion, I add things to my account and he will pay for them with his card.

We recently made a purchase and Takealot emailed me asking for a copy of my ID. No problem. but I then explained to them I shared an account and to be on the safe side, I asked who's identification they wanted. They first told me mine but then required a list of things, including a photocopy of both our IDs and a photocopy of his credit card as well as a consent form to its use.

I understand the security concern, but as I imp**** in my email to them, I do not have access to his card and thus cannot use it. He finalizes it himself by logging in and adding his details. I don't know why they would ask me for information I don't have. No consent form is needed as I do not have access to it personally.

Little to no effort was made to resolve this.

Despite being a long time customer and having made fairly large purchases in the past, I won't be ordering from Takealot again. Both my fianc? and I will be sure voice our displeasure to our social network contacts.

I expected better than this from a company who's always had amazing service. Kalahari was better.
