Avoid Takealot if you can

I bought a mattress 1 year ago, takealot delivered the wrong size mattress but after logging the issue and discussing it with them we chose to keep the double bed mattress delivered. It is a spare mattress that is seldom used. unfortunately I discovered it is defective and takealot now refuses to acknowledge or assist with the warranty.

I tried to engage with the customer care team but they just keep looking for 1 excuse after the next to explain why they won't do anything.

takealot used to be a good honest company but they have come under some pressure from competition they have become a dishonest business that will never act ethically.

Unfortunately, I do not think they will ever operate honestly again and every South African should rather return to putting in the little bit of extra effort to shop from a reputable local dealer. It costs more in the short term but in the long run, takealot will not honour warranties and will ***** your money. The only person losing out when Takealot is involved is the consumer.

Takealot used to be a good business now they are just a big organization that would be the first choice to shop for anything and now they are only good enough to be the last resort.
