Application for Part-time Driver at Pretoria Branch Complaint

Good Day

I am writing this email with a saddened heart because of the amount of incompetence in your staff members/recruitment department in Pretoria.

My name is Otsile Karabo Mohulatsi, I app**** on your website to be a MrD/Takealot Part-time Driver. I then got feedback from one of your recruitment agents by the name of Thandile Klaaste. She first sent me an email confirming receipt of my application and inviting me for an interview at the Hatfield Branch, Pretoria but for a Full-Time Position when I clearly stated on my application that I am applying for Part-time.

She eventually on Wednesday 04th November 2020, sent me another email for an interview for the post I app**** for. I was very excited and immediately responded that I will be available on Friday 06th November 2020 at 12h00-13h00.

Upon arrival at Takealot: 1270 Stanza Bopape Street, Colbyn, Pretoria, 0083 (Shop 23/24 Hatfield Corner), The lady who was supposed to interview me, her name being Pearl, was busy with another applicant so I was attended to by one of her colleagues.

This lady asked me if I was employed on a full-time basis and applying to MrD/Takealot for parttime, I answered yes and her response was " Ai, we are only looking for full-time drivers!". I asked her why they didn't tell me up front, I wouldn't have bothered myself coming all the way to be told this. She said she doesn't know and gave me back my papers that I was requested to bring to the office.

What I don't understand is, Why did you approve my interview for a part-time driver, for me to be turned back at the Hatfield branch and be told " Sorry, We only want full-time drivers! You can take back your documents mam"

This is my time and money wasted on printing out documents that Takealot already has on their system (which I had already scanned but was told to make more copies in colour and getting them certified), my petrol to drive all the way to Hatfield and back, my 1 hour off work for an interview that didn't even happen.

I must say the experience I've had with you guys is uncalled for and demand that something is done about this. I know I might not get a response as I've seen some of the reviews on social media not getting your attention but hoping mine will.

This was the worst experience ever and it says a lot about the company and how it treats its current drivers.
