Appalling Service from Takealot Cape Town

Dismal service with an appalling attitude..!! After ordering a large porch tilt umbrella and stand we were sent a “stiff neck” umbrella. Naturally we sent it back. Photos were taken of the item when it was picked up from our home. We were later contacted by Takealot who complained that we sent them this umbrella but that the stand was severely damaged which left the umbrella to be useless. However, when the item left our premises it was indeed in PERFECT condition. Takealot bluntly blamed us for the damage although it was apparent that the damage must have happened during transit on its way back - arrangements by Takealot. They then forced delivered the broken umbrella back to us - clearly the issue was never investigated with the couriers or the photographs examined. The umbrella is useless now, having a broken stand. We are left speechless with such rude and bombastic treatment, especially the sarcastic attitude received from them, indicating us to be ********* or ****s. We (and the rest of my family and friends) are disgusted and we WILL NEVER again take the chance of doing business OR PLACING AND PAYING FOR AN ORDER with Takealot EVER AGAIN. Enraged & sorely unhappy Customer.
