Any problem becomes a very big problem for the buyer...
The fact that my 2 star rating (poor) actually raises the average rating for Takealot actually just proves my point!
I purchased an oven for R17499, and it has taken more than a month of frustration to get my money back.
Details aside, just be aware that should you have any problem with a Takealot order, the only access you have is via email, website or call centre.
Emails get answered by a different person each time, and each one doesn't understand the problem from before.
Call centre agents have very little impact, and you can't speak to a supervisor.
Website is of little help - if there is no progress on your return/refund for a week or two or more, there is no way of escalating your problem.
In short, when Takealot works, it works well, but if you develop a problem, you are in for hours and hours of frustration and anxiety.
Stay away from Takealot for big ticket items that you can't afford to be without.
