I recently purchased two books from Takealot, both marketed as practical “how‑to” guides. While I am aware of your policy regarding non-returnable books, I believe this situation falls outside a standard return request due to misleading descriptions and unacceptable product quality. Book 1 The cover explicitly states that it includes step-by-step illustrated instructions. However, the book contains no such illustrations and no clear instructional guidance. This is highly misleading, especially for a technical subject like watch repair, where visual guidance is essential. Book 2 This book, intended as a guide for MS Excel and Power BI, is equally disappointing. The images throughout appear to be of extremely poor quality, resembling low-resolution photocopies rather than properly reproduced instructional material. This significantly reduces its usefulness as a learning resource. Both books are clearly not fit for their intended purpose and fall well below reasonable quality expectations. Marketing a product as a “how-to guide” creates an expectation of clarity, usability, and instructional value—none of which have been met in these cases. Given these issues, I request that Takealot review this matter and make an exception to the no-return policy, as the products received are not as described and are of substandard quality.
