Absolutely PATHETIC return

I am in absolute disgust at how this return has been handled.

The vacuum cleaner was purchased on 22 April 2021 and collected at the Paarl pickup point on 30 April 2021. This makes the vacuum cleaner less than 3 months old.

On the day of 03 July 2021 when I took the vacuum cleaner out of the box for the 4th time to vacuum our house. As soon as I switched it on there was a popping sound. Which sounded like the motor giving in. I immediately logged a return on 03 July 2021.

I took pictures of the hoover and waited for the courier to come pick it up. There was no warning to when the courier would pitch and on Monday this courier (Fast and Furious)with a very bad attitude started honking and screaming at our front gate. So I get the furious part of the name now.

The vacuum cleaner was then sent with the courier but I apologized that it was still dirty as I didn't have time to clean it whilst being in a meeting with this courier guy screaming at the gate.

On 07 July 2021 the vacuum cleaner was inspected for 3 minutes which I couldn't understand as to why it took only 3 minutes to inspect it. Thereafter the return was declined. I couldn't understand as to why it was declined as the vacuum is in excellent condition and it was just the motor that was defective and literally went ****.

After very much trouble it was indicated that there was damage at the bottom of the vacuum cleaner which I knew nothing about as it was the motor that was the issue. I immediately called and emailed takealot as I would like an inspection report as I couldn't understand why it took 3 min and what damage was there?

Today I am in absolute disbelief that the vacuum was returned in pieces. AGAIN with this courier screaming and honking at the gate whilst being in a team meeting!!!!! This is completely unacceptable. Please find attached where all the broken pieces are still in the box!!!!! Even the plastic crumbs of the pieces are still in the box!!! The fact that the small pieces are even in there is an indications that one of 2 things happened

1. Your pathetic courier was very fast and furious and has damaged the return 2. Or the takealot warehouse has damaged this product on purpose to not accept a return.
